For former Bishop Ward girls basketball star Kylie Burns, finding glory at the college basketball level was not too long of a journey.
Burns will join her Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves teammates in the Division 2 Elite Eight this week in San Antonio, Texas.
Alaska-Anchorage will enter the Elite Eight 30-4 after defeating the top-seeded UC San Diego team on March 12.
On the season, Burns is averaging 4.7 points a game, 2.6 rebounds a game and 1.0 assist a game in 34 games this season, 33 of which she came off the bench.
She’s one of the three leading three-point shooters for the Seawolves this season, shooting 34 percent from the field. Alaska-Anchorage will take on a 31-1 Ashland team next Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
The game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
