Vacant house fire under investigation

The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is investigation a fire at a vacant home.

The fire occurred just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday at 731 Greeley. Estimated damage to the home was $35,000.

"Crews on the scene within two minutes reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the front of a two-story wood framed residential structure," said Craig Duke, KCK Fire Department battalion chief.

No one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
