Patty fought a tough battle with ovarian cancer. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 17, 2012. She was born February 3, 1948 in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong resident. Patty was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, family and friends. Her zest for life was infectious and she will be truly missed by many.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Eileen Nichols, brother Alan and first husband Ronnie Morris. She is survived by daughters Sheralyn and Husband Tim Berry and their son Nicolas, and Sara Gray and her sons, Jonathan and Preston, maternal aunt Mildred Davis, brother David Nichols and sister-in-law Susan and Sue, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Patty worked for the Federal Government for 35 years, thirty-three of which were in the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Memorial services will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. with visitation 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Victory Hills Baptist Church or to KU Cancer Center, 3901 Rainbow Blvd., M.S. 3012, KCK 66160 benefitting ovarian cancer.
