Wyandotte County Jail employee charged with unlawful sexual relations, pleads guilty

An employee at the Wyandotte County Jail has been charged with unlawful sexual relations.

Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman filed charges this afternoon against Robert Saladrigas, a jailer at the jail.

He's charged with engaging in "sexual intercourse" with a female prison inmate on May 11.

In court this afternoon, Saladrigas entered a plea of guilty. His sentencing is expected in Mid-August following an investigation.

According to Gorman, unlawful sexual relations is considered a "severity level 5 person felony. "

He was booked into county jail and was released.
