South Branch Library ribbon-cutting tomorrow, open to public on Thursday

The new branch of the Kansas City, Kan., Public Library will officially be open for business this Thursday.

There will be a ribbon cutting Wednesday at 11 a.m. marking the grand opening for the new South Branch Library, located at 3104 Strong Ave.

According to the KCK Public Library, regular hours for the library will begin this Thursday.

Once open, regular hours at the library will be 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Monday-Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. on Sundays.

The construction of the library was funded in a public-private partnership between the library and members of the community.
