Following murder, KCKPD asking public for help in locating two persons of interest

The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department is asking the public for assistance in location two "persons of interest" in connection to a murder Sunday morning.

A man was killed Sunday morning in the 2200 Block of Garfield Avenue. Police arrived at the scene at around 4 a.m., discovering the victim. The victim would later die at a hospital.

Following an investigation at the scene, police are looking for Sherman B. Judie and Devin Russell, both of which are pictured above.

"After obtaining a search warrant, a methodical search for potential suspects was conducted," said Emmett Lockridge, a sergeant in the KCK Police Department. "Upon conclusion of the search, it was determined that the residence was unoccupied."

Lockridge said enough information was gathered to begin a search for the two individuals who police are labeling "persons of interest."
