KCK Salvation Army looking for bell-ringers; application dates set for next two months

Looking to make some extra money this Christmas season and have fun at the same time?

The Salvation Army in Kansas City, Kan., is currently hiring seasonal bell ringers to assist with its 2012 Christmas Red Kettle Campaign, which runs November 9 through December 24 every day except Thanksgiving and Sundays.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be able to stand for extended periods of time while enduring weather extremes.

“This is a great job for someone wanting to make a little extra cash during the holidays,” said Major Michele Heaver with The Salvation Army in Kansas City, Kansas. “We are looking for folks who like working around other people, are reliable and trustworthy and are interested in making a difference in their community.”

Interested individuals are welcome to complete a job application in person at The Salvation Army Harbor Light Village Corps Community Center, 6721 State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan. 

Applications will be accepted on the following dates and times ONLY:

October 8 - 9:00 am until 12 noon
October 22 - 9:00 am until 12 noon
October 29 - 9:00 am until 12 noon
November 5 - 9:00 am until 12 noon
November 19 - 9:00 am until 12 noon
December 3 - 9:00 am until 12 noon

All applicants will be interviewed on the spot.  Please do not bring children.

This is a seasonal, non-exempt position.  No employee benefits will be provided.
