The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department has released the identification of a man who was killed walking on 18th Street Monday afternoon.
John E. Brewer, 69, was hit by a vehicle on the 18th Street Bridge at Metropolitan Avenue Monday at around 3:30 p.m.
After the accident, he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Brewer was from Kansas City, Kan.
The police department is continuing to investigate the case.
