KCK police looking for two suspects in shooting

A man was shot in a Kansas City, Kan., home this afternoon by one of two men posing as gas workers.

According to KMBC Channel 9 news, the victim of the shooting told police that he was shot after opening the door for the two men who were wearing hard-hats. The suspects told the victim they were wanting to read his power meter.

When the door opened, one suspect took a gun out and shot the KCK resident.

The incident happened on the 2900 Block of N. 99th Street at around 1 p.m. Friday afternoon. Police are looking for two suspects in the case. Descriptions of both men were not available.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
