Harris charged in connection to Friday's stand-off

A man has been charged in connection to last Friday's stand-off near the 1400 Block of Orville Ave.

Christopher Harris, 42, has been charged with attempted aggravated burglary and criminal damage of property as a result of Friday's events.

The Wyandotte County District Attorney's office charged Harris on Saturday. He's currently in prison in lieu of a $35,000 bond.

Gorman on Saturday charged Christopher Harris, Black Male, DOB: 10/20/70, with Attempted Aggravated Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property in connection with the January 4, 2013, incident in the 1400 block of Orville Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, where Harris barricaded himself inside a residence.

Harris is in custody in the Wyandotte County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bond. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
