Six to be inducted into Harmon Hall of Fame

On Feb. 1, J.C. Harmon High School will host its fourth annual Hall of Fame ceremony. Four former athletes, one coach, and one lifelong supporter will be recognized and honored.

The induction ceremony will be held during halftime of the boy’s varsity basketball game against Washington High. Game time is 7 p.m.

The inductees were chosen based on their athletics at Harmon, their character, academics and citizenship.

Chosen to represent the athletes are:
  • Ron Talley (1974) track/field
  • George Guerra (1979) basketball
  • Brenda (Langford) Chabot (1990) volleyball
  • Redell Frazier (2007) track/field
Chosen for the coach’s or athletic director’s award is:
  • Ron Graham, who worked for the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools from 1973-2006 as a science teacher, as well as a basketball coach from 1975-1987.
Chosen for the Distinguished Service award is:
  • Dr. Elmer Sharp
