Two former Washington students graduate from military training

Air Force Airman Jacquarius Singletary graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Singletary is the sister of Shabria Thomas of Sparta Highway, Milledgeville, Ga.

He is a 2011 graduate of Washington High School, Kansas City, Kan.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Nicholas T. Buckner graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Buckner is the son of Carri and Tod Buckner of Parkview Avenue, Kansas City.
