KCKCC to offer babysitter training Saturday, February 16

A course in Babysitter Training will be offered at Kansas City Kansas Community on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Offered in partnership with the American Red Cross, the course is ideal for current or prospective babysitters between the ages of 11 and 15.

Taught by Joe Gilman, an American Red Cross certified instructor, the course covers safety, safe play, basic care, first aid, leadership, professionalism and Infant/Child CPR.

The class will be held in the Community Education Building on the east side of the KCKCC campus at 7250 State Avenue. Participants should bring a sack lunch.

The cost of the course is $60 and includes a book with CD. Registration may be made on-line at www.kckcc.edu and clicking on Continuing Education, Spring 2013 Schedule and Youth
