The hospital cared for more than 500 inpatients during the storm.
The surgeries included:
- a live donor kidney transplant;
- cancer brain surgery where the patient flew in from Liberal, Kansas to be at the hospital; and
- cancer chemotherapy treatments for a variety of cancers.
Regular clinics resume tonight with all Urgent Care clinics open in Westwood, Gladstone, Kansas City, Kansas and KU MedWest in Shawnee.
On Wednesday, the clinics of The University of Kansas Hospital and The University of Kansas Physicians will be open with the following exceptions:
- pediatrics will remain closed on the main campus and in Prairie Village;
- the cardiology clinic in Grandview will remain closed; and
- the Orthopedics Clinic will open at 11 a.m.
