Coming off a terrific turnaround season that culminated in a trip to the 2013 4A state tournament, the Piper Pirates boys basketball program is getting ready for a busy summer.

Part of that summer includes the 2013 Piper Basketball Academy.

Players interested in the event will be taught the fundamentals of basketball that focuses on "individual improvement within a team concept."

Piper Pirates boys basketball head coach Steve Wallace will run the academy, while select coaches will be involved in the tournament.

Costs for the academy is $150. All fees are due by May 8 to the Piper High School office. The costs do not include any summer strength and conditioning programs.
