Two children safe after car stolen

Two children were briefly abducted this morning in Kansas City, Kan.

According to the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department, two children were inside a car when it was stolen at a gas station Monday morning on 18th Street and Parallel Parkway.

The driver of the vehicle was the mother of the child, according to KMBC Channel 9 News. She exited the vehicle, leaving the children behind. Shortly after, another woman stole the vehicle and drove it off.

The two children were later dropped off near 12th Street and Troup Avenue - and both were safe.

Police have not found the stolen car as of it.
