Wyandot Center selected for national project

By THERESE HORVAT

Wyandot Center is among 10 organizations selected nationally to participate in the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare’s Advancing Standards of Care for People with Bipolar Disorder.

Organizations previously selected for this initiative found that the program significantly improved communication, social interaction and coping skills for persons recovering from schizophrenia.

Wyandot Center’s involvement will include learning conferences, monthly webinars and periodic phone calls, and access to technical assistance to assist with implementation of evidence-based intervention.

Wyandot Center is Wyandotte County’s designated community mental health center serving adults.
