Dimonic McKinzy had a great junior season at Wyandotte High School, serving as the team's quarterback and cornerback.

He put Wyandotte on his back and guided them to the Kansas City Kansas - Atchison League championship.

Today, he committed to the Minnesota Gophers football program, according to GopherIllustrated.com. McKinzy also had offers from Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.

McKinzy arrived at Wyandotte after transferring from University Academy in Kansas City, Mo. He was the starting quarterback last year and made numerous plays for the Bulldogs with both his legs and his arm.

He displayed a remarkable ability to escape pass pressure and demonstrated great poise that a future Division 1 player would have.

The 5'11 quarterback has a 40-time of 4.57 seconds. He also played in the secondary, delivering some big hits along the way.

He made the decision while visiting the campus today. The program is holding its Spring Game this weekend.
