KCK man charged in connection to fatality car accident

Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman has charged Kansas City, Kan., resident Jock Powell in connection to the death of Christopher Keck. 

Powell was charged with a count of involuntary manslaughter this week.

Keck was killed in a car accident on Interstate 635 at Kansas Avenue on March 22. 

Powell was arrested Friday by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department.

It is expected that Powell will make his first appearance later today.  He is presumed innocent unless and  until proven guilty. The Kansas Highway Patrol investigated the case.  
Involuntary manslaughter is punishable by a sentence of 31-136 months,  depending on the persons criminal history, and/or a fine of up to $300,000.00.
