SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Kansas City T-Bones racked up 17 hits and, for the second consecutive game, never trailed Sioux City in a 10-1 win over the Explorers on Tuesday night.

The T-Bones once again got a leadoff double from Kennard Jones against Sioux City starter and former T-Bones pitcher Josh Rainwater (1-5). Jones went on to score on an RBI single from Jairo Perez.

After taking a 2-1 lead on a Devin Goodwin home run in the third, the T-Bones batted around in a four-run fourth inning.

For Kansas City, Perez and newcomer Nathan Ramler each finished the game three for four. Perez, who didn’t homer for the first time in four games, knocked in three and scored twice. Ramler added an RBI.

Aaron Tullo (4-0) picked up the win for Kansas City, pitching seven innings on one-run baseball and allowed just eight total baserunners.

With the win, Kansas City now leads the season series five games to one over the Explorers. The T-Bones look for their first sweep of the season on Wednesday night at 7:05. Shaun Garceau (0-4) will be on the mound for Kansas City. Sioux City will counter with Richard Salazar.
