KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Former Unified Government Mayor/CEO Joe Reardon has joined the McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips law firm in Kansas City, Kan.
Reardon will work in the areas of technology law, public policy and economic development.
“The opportunity to practice law at MVP allows me to continue my community involvement and stay active within the Kansas City region, while simultaneously helping businesses, governments, and individuals with economic development, technology, and entrepreneurial start-up issues,” Reardon said. “Though no longer in public office, I remain committed to advancing causes and projects for the entire region, working to help the private sector and governments find the same model for success we experienced in Wyandotte County by working together in a collaborative fashion.”
Just as former Mayor/CEO Carol Marinovich, Reardon chose to not run for a third-term.
His decision led many to speculate what his political future would hold for him.
For now, he'll be working at one of the oldest law firms in the Midwest.
“Joe Reardon’s experience and leadership, and the success he has helped create, is a tremendous asset to our community and the entire region,” said Frederick Greenbaum of the firm. “He is recognized nationally for identifying and initiating innovative approaches to development, governmental-private sector cooperation, and support for entrepreneurism, innovation and small business creation, and MVP is pleased to have former Mayor Reardon helping lead our efforts in these practice areas.”
