KCK police officer shoots one after pinned by vehicle

KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- A man was wounded by a Kansas City, Kan., police officer Saturday morning on 59th Street and Parallel Parkway.

Two police officers in the area noticed a driver of a red Camaro driving erratically in a parking lot near the scene.

The officers exited their vehicle to speak with the driver, but according to the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department, the driver slammed into the officer with his car and trapped him against another car.

From there, the officer fired his gun and wounded the driver.

The driver is expected to survive.
