KMBC: KCKFD employee arrested for sex charges

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Earlier on Tuesday, the Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department confirmed that one of its employees was arrested.

Tuesday night, KMBC Channel 9 news reported the employee was arrested and charged for committing multiple sex crimes involving a minor.

They also identified the arrested employee.

Timothy Coffin, 47, was booked inside the Johnson County Jail this week. He's been released on bond.

According to KMBC Channel 9, Coffin is being charged with solicitation of a minor in connection to an event in May 2012.

KMBC is also reporting that Coffin's also been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child in a separate incident from last October.
