KDOT announces construction projects that will effect traffic for Sporting KC game

KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- There will be a handful of traffic construction issues for this weekend's Sporting Kansas City game.

I-70 Pavement Repair Project (78th Street to I-635)Overall project work is scheduled to be completed in early November 2013.
EXPECT DELAYS! WEEKEND OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES: Eastbound and westbound I-70 from 78th Street to I-635 will be reduced to TWO OPEN LANES for pavement patching work beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 and eastbound will be reduced to ONE OPEN LANE beginning at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 with all lanes reopening to all traffic at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 11. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Sunday, August 11.

I-435 Pavement Marking Project Overall project work is scheduled to be completed in mid-September 2013.
EXPECT DELAYS! WEEKEND OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES: Eastbound and westbound I-435 RIGHT THREE LANES from Antioch Road to State Line Road will be CLOSED for pavement marking work beginning at 7:00 p.m. on and reopening to all traffic at 8:00 a.m. the next morning on Friday-Sunday, August 9-11. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Monday, August 12.

K-7 Resurfacing Project (K-10 to the Kansas River Bridge)Overall project work is scheduled to be completed by late September 2013.
EXPECT DELAYS! OVERNIGHT RAMP CLOSURES: Northbound and southbound K-7 from Johnson Drive to north of the Kansas River will be CLOSED for milling work on Saturday, August 10 between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, August 10.
