Two bodies discovered in KCK car fire

KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department discovered two dead bodies inside a burned vehicle Sunday morning.

Firefighters reported to the scene of 3rd Street and New Jersey Ave. Sunday morning at around 6 a.m. after receiving a call about a car fire.

After arriving, firefighters and members of the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department discovered the two bodies.

At this time, little information is available about the victims or the circumstances that led to the the fire.

The investigation is on-going, according to KCK Fire Department PIO Deputy Chief Kevin Shirley.
