KCK Fire Department to host Kansas Fire School


KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department will be hosting its annual Kansas Fire School event this week.

Kansas City Kansas Fire Department is expecting approximately 300 students, as they host the 2013, Annual Kansas Fire School in partnership with the Kansas State Firefighters Association and Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Firefighters from as far away as Goodland, Kansas as well as Firefighters from Iowa and Missouri will be in attendance to receive both classroom and hands on instruction in firefighting and EMS skills. Fire Instructors from Kansas City, Kansas FD as well as Seattle - Washington, North Las Vegas - Nevada, Wichita - Kansas, and Yonkers - New York will be delivering instruction on:

·    Fire Suppression Techniques and Tactics
·    Vehicle Extrication
·    Forcible Entry
·    Engine Company Operations
·    Truck Company Operations
·    Live Burn Operations
·    LPG Fires
·    Rope Rescue
·    Saving Our Own
