The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) will host two fall energy efficiency workshops for the community and customers in November.
Due to limited seating BPU is encouraging interested parties to RSVP before November 4, 2013 by calling 913-573-9922 or emailing dallen@bpu.com.
The free events, which promote energy efficiency techniques and offer tips on how to reduce energy costs, will feature speakers, displays and exhibits, and several hands-on demonstrations by BPU staff and industry experts.
The first workshop, on Tuesday, November 5, will be held from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the New South Branch Public Library, 3104 Strong Ave, in Argentine.
A second workshop, on Wednesday, November 6, will be held from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the West Wyandotte Public Library, 1737 N. 82nd Street.
Topics and issues will include:
- Why Energy Efficiency?
- What are Energy Audits/Assessments and Why are they Important?
- Climate Change in Wyandotte County and How Energy Efficiency Can Affect It
- Staying Comfortable and Saving Money during Fall and Winter Months
