Man injured in Monday fire dies

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- A man who was injured in a fire on Monday has died.

The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department announced this afternoon that the victim of the fire at 4119 Mission Road died the morning.

Darrin Walker was 45 years old.

Walker initially suffered second and third degree burns in the fire, which happened at an apartment complex in the area.

The fire caused $180,000 worth of damage to the apartment.

Over 30 people evacuated from the apartment. The fire remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department.
