Two from Piper High School named to U.S. Service Academy

KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Two students from Piper High School were named U.S. Service Academy nominees by U.S. Senator Jerry Moran's (R-KS).

Jacob Brown and Jared Brown from Piper High School were named to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Moran selected nominees for admission after vetting by a 20-member board through an application and interview process.

The U.S. Service Academies include the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

“Thanks to all who applied and interviewed for admission to U.S. Service Academies,” Sen. Moran said. “Americans are fortunate to have so many intelligent, hard-working and patriotic young men and women interested in serving our country in the Armed Forces. Each of these nominees will do great things for Kansas and for our country.”
