KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Kansas City Kansas Community College is offering kids a chance to get into the kitchen and cook.
Kids Cooking Camp- Pasta is a class that will explore the many types and uses of pasta. This class, which is designed for children nine to 14-years-old, will explore the many types and uses of pasta.
Students will learn the importance of measuring and cooking pasta properly and examine recipes that use pasta for a main dish and a side dish.
Students will also have the opportunity to taste test several types of pasta and prepare a dish to enjoy in class. Basic kitchen and food preparation safety will also be discussed.
The class is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 15at the KCKCC Conference Center, 7250 State Ave. The tuition is $20.
