KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Adventures in Learning, a free program of the Shepherd’s Center of KCK, will take place beginning at 9am on Friday, May 16 at Grace Lutheran, 3333 Wood Avenue.
The building offers entry-level parking and easy drop off of both people and equipment. Everyone is welcome to attend part or all of the day’s activities.
The schedule for Friday, May 16 is:
- 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Health Screenings (no cost)
- Blood sugar and blood pressure checks provided by Delores Homes LLC.
9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Registration and Fellowship
- Refreshments available while you meet & greet.
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
- Issues Forum - Bridgette Jobe, KCK Convention and
- Visitors Bureau: Schlitterbahn
- Travelogue – Brazil (presented by Ed Shutt)
11:00 - noon
- History – Baseball in the 1960s and 70s (presented by Ed Shutt)
- Health - Delores Homes LLC will provide 30 minutes of chair exercises and a short health presentation
NOON – Lunch (call to make a lunch reservation) $4 or bring your own
- Menu: Chicken strips, potato wedges, salad, orange, multi-grain bread, graham crackers, milk, coffee, water
