South library hosts Exhibit by KCAI Student

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City, Kansas Public Library will host an exhibit of recent photographs by local artist Rebecca Clews.

Titled “Infinite Impossibilities”, the exhibit will be on display in the gallery at the South Library: 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kan., 66106.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, May 10th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Graduating From the Kansas City Art Institute in May, Clews uses photography to explore her search for a sense of place away from the din of urban life.

Inspired by Turner’s and Chinese sublime landscape paintings, she constructs surreal scenes from microscopic imagery.

Her work will be on display May 2-June16.
