Former Bishop Ward student graduates from basic military training

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Air Force Airman 1st Class Kara D. Godsil graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Godsil is the daughter of Carol Godsil of Kansas City, Kan. and Michael Godsil of Lansing, Kan.

She is a 2007 graduate of Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, Kan. She earned an bachelor's degree in 2013 from Kansas State University, Salina, Kan.
