Gilstraps to lead local campaign for Derek Schmidt

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Mark and JoAnne Gilstrap will coordinate the efforts in Wyandotte County for Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt’s reelection campaign.

The Gilstraps, Kansas City, Kan., will serve as Wyandotte County co-chairs of Schmidt’s campaign. In that capacity, they will be the principal liaison between the campaign and Wyandotte County residents for information about the campaign.

Mark and JoAnne are lifelong residents of Wyandotte County. JoAnne has been a pharmacist in Wyandotte County for more than 30 years and Mark has been the Deputy Revenue Director for Wyandotte County Unified Government for more than 25 years. Mark represented Wyandotte County in the Kansas Senate for 12 years and currently serves as chairman of the Wyandotte County Republican Party.

“I am grateful that Mark and JoAnne have again agreed to serve our campaign in this important role,” Schmidt said. “We are proud to have support from Kansans in all corners of our state and I appreciate their help in sharing our record of results with the citizens of Wyandotte County.”
