KCK high school marching band festival Oct. 18

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Students are tuning up their instruments for a day of competition and fun.

The Kansas City, Kan., Public Schools District will host its annual Marching Band Festival Saturday, October 18 at 3 p.m. at the Washington High School stadium.

The annual festival features bands from our district’s high schools, including Washington, Wyandotte, Sumner Academy, J. C. Harmon, and F. L. Schlagle. Traditionally students and instructors focus their best performance energies on this festival, and the result is an afternoon of pageantry and sound.

Tickets are $5 in advance (and may be purchased from any high school band director) or $7 at the gate.
