Women's Chamber of Commerce of KCK to host Veterans’ Commemoration event

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City, Kansas will host its 14th Annual Veterans’ Commemoration Event.

It will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the Salvation Army Harbor Light – 6723 State Avenue, Kansas City, KS

Featured speaker is Wm. Cheyne Worley, a veteran of Desert Storm. Also included in our honored guests will be Unified Government Mayor/CEO Mark Holland and Congressman Kevin Yoder.

Entertainment will be provided by the Piper High School Music-in-Motion choral group and the Washington High School Junior ROTC.  Refreshments will be provided by Bob Evans and the Salvation Army Canteen.

Committee members are:  Linda Wolford, KCK Public Library; Jordan Frost, Providence Medical Center; Pat Pettey, State Senator; Jim Jenkins, VFW #6401; Maila Yang, KCK Convention & Tourism Bureau; Major Bev Best, Salvation Army Harbor Lights; and Barbara Newby, Women’s Chamber of Commerce of KCK.
