KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- A man is in critical condition after charging at a police officer with a sword Saturday night on the 1100 Block of Washington Avenue.
According to the KCK Police Department, the officer at the scene told the man to drop the sword "several times."
When the man refused to drop the sword and instead charged at the police officer, the officer responded with fire.
Limited information is known about the man.
He's only described as a male in his 50's. He's listed in critical condition.
