Jeremy Rogers named new Parks and Recreation Director in Wyandotte County

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The Unified Government of Wyandotte County has announced the hiring of Jeremy Rogers.

Rogers will serve as the Director of the Wyandotte County Park and Recreation Department.

Prior to being hired by the Unified Government, Rogers served in the Independence, Mo., Parks and Recreation Department. He was an Assistant Parks Director in that department.

Rogers has a Bachelor of Science Degree in health and physical education. He also holds a Master's Degree of Education in Sports Administration.

According to a Unified Government news release, Rogers wants to bring a new Health and Wellness program to the county and launch a Master Plan for the Parks and Recreation Department.

Rogers will begin his new post on Dec. 30.
