Man wanted in connection to following, attacking two women in KCK

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The man wanted in connection to today's home invasion and shooting may be connected to another crime.

Kansas City, Kan., police say they're looking for a man who followed two women, later committing crimes against both of them.

The suspect is described as a black man who's 5'9" tall. He's in his 40's and has dreadlocks or braids.

One of the incidents was the 9:30 a.m. shooting and home invasion on the 2500 Block of N. 64th Street, which left a woman in serious condition.

Before shooting her, police say the man sexually assaulted her in the home.

About 2 1/2 hours earlier near the 3100 Block of Eaton, the same man approached a different woman who was on her way home from work. The 21-year-old woman was followed by the suspect, when the man apparently showed her his gun and took her backpack.

The vehicle the suspect took from the shooting victim was later discovered burned on 9th and Oakland.
