Two connected to police shooting arrested in KCK

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Two people who were linked to a shooting of a Pleasant Valley, Mo., police officer were arrested in Kansas City, Kan.

The two suspects were arrested on 18th Street and Stewart Avenue on Sunday morning following a standoff with police.

Police took two people into custody late Sunday morning after a standoff at a Kansas City, Kansas, home linked to the shooting of a Pleasant Valley, Missouri, police officer Saturday night. 
Police said the officer pulled the car over for a registration violation just before midnight Saturday. The person inside the car got out and started firing shots into the officer's car. 
One of the shots hit the officer in the face. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but later in the morning was said to be in stable condition, alert and talking.
