KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- The Unified Government Board of Commissioners approved a resolution for a new scoreboard at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The cost of the scoreboard will be between $400,000-450,000, adding an additional $250,000 to the 2015 Capital Budget for the T-Bones stadium.

Financing for the new budget will come from the Unified Government's "Dedicated T-Bones Stadium" account.

According to the UG, the funds in the account cannot be used for any other purposes except for the team.

Daktronics, Inc., will provide the board. They recently installed similar video boards for the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and the three local Division 1 colleges - the University of Kansas, Kansas State University and the University of Missouri.

The vote was unanimous from commissioners.
