Candlelight vigil to be held Feb. 1 in honor of homicide victim Latisha Hare

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- A candlelight vigil and balloon release will be held in honor of Latisha Hare, a Kansas City, Kan., resident who was murdered in February 2014.

The vigil will be held on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 4 p.m. at Bill Clem Park, located at 10th and Kansas Ave., in Kansas City, Kan.


Her body was discovered by firefighters in a vacant home after they were dispatched to the home..

According to her family, Hare was 13 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.

The case remains unsolved and the candlelight vigil is also looking to raise awareness for the case itself.

The entire community is welcome to attend the vigil.
