KANSAS CITY TRAFFIC: K-10 and Ridgeview Road interchange

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The following overnight lane, ramp and roadway closures will take place at the K-10 and Ridgeview Road interchange for the setting of bridge girders on the west half of the existing Ridgeview Road bridge over K-10 (which is part of the new diverging diamond interchange work underway).

CLOSES at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 – REOPENS at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25

  • Eastbound and westbound K-10 left lanes under Ridgeview Road CLOSED
  • Northbound and southbound Ridgeview Road from 105th Street north to K-10 CLOSED

CLOSES at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 – REOPENS at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, March 26

  • Eastbound and westbound K-10 left lanes under Ridgeview Road CLOSED
  • Northbound and southbound Ridgeview Road from 105th Street north to K-10 CLOSED

Eastbound and westbound K-10 traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction and will detour up the exit ramps, straight through the intersection, and back up the entrance ramps at Ridgeview Road.

There will be no ramp access for K-10 traffic to Ridgeview Road or Ridgeview Road traffic to K-10 during the overnight closures. K-10 traffic wishing to access Ridgeview Road will need to utilize the Woodland Road or Renner Boulevard exits on K-10 during the overnight closures.  

Ridgeview Road will be closed just closed north of the 105th Street intersection. Ridgeview Road traffic wishing to access K-10 must use the Woodland Road or Renner Boulevard interchanges on K-10 during the overnight roadway closure. Access will be provided to the local businesses south of K-10 via the 105th Street intersection.

Advance message boards will alert traffic to the lane, ramp and roadway closures. Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via signage and cones. Drivers should expect some delays through the project work zone during the overnight closures.
