Legends Outlets announces new stores

KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Legends Outlets Kansas City restaurants announced some new additions on Friday.

The expansion brings new tenants that will extend the retail diversity of the dominantly designer outlet destination supported by shopping and entertainment.

The new additions expand the retail diversity and experiences at Legends Outlets as the Village West area continues to grow.

“We are pleased to announce these new additions and believe they complement the incredible shopping and dining already available at Legends Outlets,” said Jessica Bachtel, Marketing Director of Legends Outlets Kansas City.

The new additions include:
  • Residence In: Tharaldson Hospitality Management is building a four-story, 108-room Residence Inn featuring studio, one- and two-bedroom suites. The new Residence Inn will open at 1875 Village West Parkway on the west side of Legends Outlets, across from the four-story parking garage near Yard House. With more than 10 million visitors traveling to Legends Outlets annually, Residence Inn adds a convenient overnight option with quick access to the center’s exceptional retail and dining destinations. Additionally, the new location is just blocks away from more top area attractions in Village West, including Sporting Park, Community America Ballpark (home of the Kansas City T-Bones), Kansas Speedway, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Cabela’s, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Hollywood Casino and more. Residence Inn’s anticipated opening date is Fall 2015.
  • Verizon Wireless: Verizon Wireless is currently developing a freestanding location at 10621 Parallel Parkway on the north side of Legends Outlets, east of the four-story parking garage.
  • Fuddrucker: Fuddruckers has plans to return to the Kansas City area with a new location replacing the former Cheeseburger in Paradise. Fuddruckers is owned by Luby’s Inc. (NYSE: LUB) with 74 company-operated locations and 110 Fuddruckers franchise locations nationwide. Fuddruckers opening date details are currently pending confirmation. According to the Fuddruckers website, “Since 1980, Fuddruckers has been obsessed with making the world happier, one great hamburger at a time. Grilled-to order burgers feature always fresh and never frozen, 100 percent USDA premium-cut beef with no fillers or additives. Delicious, sesame-topped buns are baked from scratch on-site throughout the day to achieve the perfect combination of crisp crust and melt-in-your-mouth texture. And while burgers are the signature, the engaging menu offers variety for many tastes with an array of sandwiches, platters and salads. No matter what they choose, customers can customize their meal with a trip to the legendary Build Your Own produce bar, which features fantastic fixings like sun-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles, pico de gallo and classic cheese sauce.”
