Unified Government of hold job fair Sept. 23

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- The Unified Government in partnership with local organizations will host a job fair on Tuesday, September 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jack Reardon Convention Center located at 520 Minnesota Avenue.
Job seekers are encouraged to dress in appropriate attire and should bring their resume to share work experience with potential employers that will be conducting interviews during the event.
The first hour, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., will be dedicated exclusively to military veterans, but the remaining hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will be open to the public. There is no cost to employers or job seekers and parking is also free.
The Hilton Garden Inn, Kansas City, Kansas Community College & Technical Education Center, Unified Government of Wyandotte County, KANSASWORKS and Workforce Partnership are sponsors of the event.
You may know of someone in our community that is looking for employment. Please share this information with family, friends, and organizations that will assist with getting the word out to job seekers.

Schlitterbahn to host Job Fair
KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Need a job? Schlitterbahn Water Park will be holding a job fair later this month.
The park, located at 9400 State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan., will be hosting the job fair April 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Open positions for this summer include cashiers, life guards, kitchen staff, admissions, greeters, park services, retail, bar staff and other positions at the water park.

Yoder to host 3rd District Job Fair
Congressman Kevin Yoder today announced he will once again hold a 3rd District Job Fair and Resource Expo to help residents looking for employment and business owners seeking employees to meet face-to-face.
The Job Fair and Resource Expo will be held on Wednesday, May 1st at the Great Mall of the Great Plains in Olathe, and will again include a special morning hour exclusive to veterans only.
“Last year’s jobs fair at the Great Mall was a tremendous success, and we’re looking to repeat that success this spring. We all recognize the importance of helping our returning veterans get jobs after their courageous service for our country, so we will again focus on them for the first hour. We had over two hundred veterans attend the special morning hour last year, and we now hope to repeat that success in May,” stated Congressman Yoder. “The 3rd District Job Fair and Resource Expo will be a great chance for those looking for jobs to get help with resumes, as well as meet in person with several employers looking to hire. I encourage everyone looking for work to attend.”

Third District Job Fair scheduled for this week

The second 3rd District Job Fair hosted by U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder in cooperation with Workforce Partnership, will be held on Thursday, September 27th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn West – Overland Park, 8787 Reeder Rd., Overland Park, KS 66214.
The hour from 9-10 a.m. is reserved exclusively for military veterans, and the event will open to all job seekers at 10 a.m.
More than 50 area employers have registered to exhibit at the event, and exhibit space is at capacity.
All job seekers are welcome, and those attending should come dressed to interview and bring copies of their resume.
No registration is needed for job seekers to attend, and the event is free.
