UG budget to be presented tonight

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County will present its proposed 2013 fiscal year budget tonight at City Hall.

The budget will be rolled out at 5 p.m. Thursday evening in the Unified Government Commission Chambers at City Hall.

Following the budget presentation, budget work sessions will be held the following three weeks.

Dates to remember:

• July 16 - Budget workshop, 5 p.m. on the 6th Floor of City Hall (training room)

• July 19 - Budget workshop, 5 p.m. on the 6th Floor of City Hall(training room)

• July 23 - Budget workshop, 5 p.m. on the 6th Floor of City Hall(training room)

• July 26 - Budget workshop, 5 p.m. on the 6th Floor of City Hall(training room)

• July 30 - A public hearing will be held at 5 p.m. on the 6th Floor of City Hall(training room)

• August 2 - Budget will be adopted.

UG budget online survey now available

The Unified Government is encouraging citizens to fill out an online survey about the upcoming budget discussions this summer.
