Pasnoori joins Midland Heart and Vascular

Venkat R. Pasnoori, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I., a board-certified cardiologist, has joined Midland Heart and Vascular, Kansas City, Kan., as an interventional cardiologist. 

His office is conveniently located in the Doctors’ Building on the Providence Medical Center campus, 8919 Parallel Parkway, Suite 331, Kansas City, Kan. Patients can schedule an appointment with Dr. Pasnoori at 913-596-7224.

He also will provide cardiac care at Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, Kan., and at Rock Creek Medical Building, Lansing, Kan.

In his new position, Dr. Pasnoori offers state-of-the-art cardiac diagnosis and treatment for the hospitals’ heart patients, including cardiac catheterization using radial artery in the wrist; coronary angioplasty and stenting; peripheral angiography and stenting; minimally invasive closure of holes in the heart known as patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects; and non-surgical treatment of varicose veins with ablation therapy. 

Dr. Pasnoori also has expertise in implanting pacemakers and defibrillators and has special interest in women’s cardiovascular health.

Dr. Pasnoori practiced most recently in Liberty and prior to that in Johnson County. He has relocated his practice to the Providence campus to help lead the hospital’s growing cardiac program. 

Other physicians practicing with him include Maria Javaid, M.D., Donald McSweyn, M.D., and Julian Nunez, M.D.   

“I am very excited to join the Providence cardiology team,” Dr. Pasnoori says. “I look forward to serving my many loyal patients from the Johnson County area on the Providence campus, and I welcome the opportunity to care for the cardiac needs of Wyandotte and Leavenworth County residents.”

Dr. Pasnoori’s educational background includes an interventional cardiology fellowship with Boston University Medical Center, Boston, Mass.; a cardiology fellowship with the University of Louisville, Ken.; internal medicine residency with Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Mich.; and medical school with Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India. 

He also holds a master’s degree in public health from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wis. Dr. Pasnoori was nominated chief cardiology fellow during his training and also was inducted into the National Honor Society for Public Health.   

Dr. Pasnoori is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine. 

He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. 

Dr. Pasnoori is the author of numerous abstracts, presentations and publications and is actively involved in clinical research.

Dr. Pasnoori resides in nearby Lake Quivira, Kan. and enjoys outdoor activities.  He volunteers for a number of charitable organizations, including serving on the Lyric Opera board of directors.
