Wyandotte alum Ed Asner to be inducted in Kansas Hall of Fame

Wyandotte High School alum Ed Asner will be inducted into the Kansas Hall of Fame.

Asner has credited for nearly three dozen movies and appeared on over 40 television shows.

He's primarily known for his role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and later on, the Lou Grant spin-off show. The Mary Tyler Moore Show ran from 1970-1977 and 168 episodes were filmed.

Among the films Asner acted in were JFK, El and Up.

Asner will join former Kansas Gov. Alfred M. Landon, former Sen. Nancy Landon Kassebaum Baker, Cyrus K. Holliday, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, George Washington Carver and William Allen White in this year's class.
