Twelve Kansas City Kansas Community College faculty and staff have been named recipients of coveted NISOD Excellence awards for 2012.

An acronym for the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development, medallions will be awarded each recipient at the annual international NISOD conference hosted by the University of Texas at Austin May 27-30.

Donald Alsdurf, the coordinator of the Criminal Justice program, and Shirley Nichols, an associate professor in Nursing, are faculty members who will be honored.

They will be joined by staff members Robert Beach, Assistive Technology Specialist; Lisa Cline, Web Master; Shirley Fessel, Coordinator of Transcript Services; Marcia Irvine, Assistant Director of the Leavenworth Center; Sandra McGill, Coordinator of Financial Aid at the Technical Education Center; Beth Muir, Verification Coordinator; Joe Mundt, Fitness Specialist; Susan Stuart, Director of Online Education Services; and Paula Warren, Professional Assistant in Human Resources.
