There was an interesting guest at Monday night's 7-on-7 football competition at Piper High School.
This fox was hanging around the Piper track most of the night as the Piper Pirates, Bishop Ward Cyclones, Lansing Lions and Bonner Springs squared off on the gridiron.
No one was threatened by the fox and it quickly galloped away when anyone approached it.
According to Piper assistant coach Larry Beashore, a family of foxes lives in the trees around the Piper football field.
